He made sure he had developmental resources/camps on his schedule — places where he could be taught, corrected, sharpened — before he stepped into hiring camps.
He didn’t gamble…He prepared.
And that’s where a lot of officials get it wrong.

But ask yourself honestly: Do you have a development plan… or just dates on a calendar?
Because when we step onto a camp floor in front of a supervisor, it’s too late to fix the mechanic we didn’t know was off. It’s too late to clean up the positioning habit that keeps showing up. It’s too late to build confidence we never practiced under pressure.
